The Global Village program of Habitat for Humanity gives people the chance to help other people and to visit another country at the same time. It’s a holiday with a purpose. You do not need any specific building skills. You will work during a period of one or two weeks and pay the costs of your own stay. Habitat for Humanity also requests a donation for the affiliate you are working for. This donation is used to finance the building program of the affiliate.
It will give you many benefits if you choose to be a member of a Global Village Team and come to build in Hungary (Magyarország in Hungarian). You will build alongside a family/residents and get to know the community, and your fellow volunteer home builders. You will experience a new culture, and will be able to visit the beautiful capital Budapest and other charming places of interest in the country.
